RIPPING PAGES OUT OF YOUR JOURNAL?!?

I have a few friends that swear by journal-destruction as a cathartic and creative release, I say no thank you. At least not with the Moleskine journals I spend too much money on. Composition book? Maybe...

As for finishing or not finishing, I think it depends on what an incomplete journal represents to you. For me, the incompleteness is a reminder of my past struggle to finish things. Thus, finishing a journal is a symbolic response. For others, it might be recognition that the era of one journal has ended and another is to begin... or something like that. :)

Finishing a journal. Hmmm... never really thought about that. Most of mine have random pages throughout or at the end that are empty or jotted with incomprehensible notes. Sometimes I use the extra sheets for other stuff (eek! ripping pages from my journal!). Then I go on.

Journal. A free place. Maybe one should never finish a journal. : )

Dee, Yeah. Four years. But it's lead to an unbottling of sorts since... more on that next time.

I think I still need to learn when to let an unfinished story sit... it's been hard so far. Maybe I've just swung to the other side from not being able to finish anything... :)

It may be time to find balance.

Four years? :) Ha. Great entry. Thanks for sharing that. I have many half written stories. I think of it as my process. Blessings to you, Brandon.
