Words of Redemption Podcast Episode 2 - Until Durango Continued

Episode two of the Words of Redemption podcast is live!

In this episode, I conclude my crime fiction story, Until Durango. This episode clocks in at 20 minutes, meaning I didn’t give you all near enough of the story last time around. Hopefully it was worth the wait.

If you haven’t heard the first third of the story yet, click here to check it out.

In other news, the Words of Redemption Podcast is now live in the iTunes Podcast directory. If you have iTunes on your computer, go here, subscribe and leave me a rating and a comment, just like Murray did. Thanks for the comment Dr. Berry. :)

To listen to the podcast, go to iTunes, check out the PodOMatic page, or listen via the embedded player below.

Thanks again to Sarah for adding her stamp of approval in the intro. We’re thinking this has to be a regular thing now.

Enjoy, and please drop me a comment after you’ve listened. I’d love to hear what you thought about the story.

Hooray! I am number one (commenter that is). Enjoyed listening to “the rest of the story” during lunch. Probably because I am not one to stop and think too far ahead in any story I read, I was completely surprised at the ending. I enjoyed it- too bad about the show tune, it may have added an air of familiarity. Your lyrics were fine and certainly added to the moment, perhaps some may feel it too contrived? I feel sorry for Reggie…

I will have to come back to this some night when I want to hear something while doing dishes. : ) But I did take a sneak peek. How great to hear your honest-to-goodness voice! Now, I thought you lived in Texas or something. Do you not? Because, really, you don’t sound southern to me.

Good story line and great ending! I hadn’t figured it out which I always try to do when reading or watching any good “mystery”. Bravo! But this still does leave me wanting more. I feel like I read/heard the last 2 chapters of a good novel. Would love to hear more details of how they got to this sad point in their lives. Skimming the surface just makes me want more detail. Poor Reggie :(

    Keep writing Brandon!

Jim, Congrats on being first! :) You are the man for listening and taking the time to comment so quickly, I know that listening to a 20-minute podcast is quite a commitment. Glad you were surprised, that makes me happy. :)

As for the lyrics, I agree that might feel a little specifically-authored for this story. I wonder if you’d think that had I not confessed I wrote them myself? I should test that out.

LL, I’d love to hear what you think when you do. Sarah and I currently live in Colorado, but I grew up in Texas and lived there most of my life. I think thanks to my Mom, who lived outside of Texas most of her life, the accent never really stuck. Speaking of which…

Mom, thanks! I’m glad you were surprised too. And I’m glad it left you wanting more, that’s what I was shooting for.

And I feel bad for Reggie too. Quite sad really. I wish it could have turned out differently, but it doesn’t always, does it?
