Brandon;
I’ve been watching your blog from time to time, as I’ve had free moments to devote to such perusals.
Do you ever sleep?
I know you work, and with all the writing, reading and recording, plus setting up your websites, I’m amazed - utterly amazed - at how much you get done.
I listened in to Until Durango. You do a great job reading the story. What a fantastic idea. And this doesn’t cross the “publication” line?
Maybe you’re secretly a super hero

I agree with Lauren; you are amazingly busy. But you still get time to read! Wow. What did you think of The Shack?

Lauren, Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment! I appreciate it!
To answer your questions, I do sleep and I am not a superhero outside of my own mind.
Thanks for listening, and thanks for taking the time to read the print version and share your thoughts. Your observations made the story better!
I don’t *think* that reading in a podcast crosses the publication line, but I honestly cannot find concrete evidence to support to deny my feeling. Some publications don’t even count blogging a story, though some do. It’s up to the publication at hand, so most say better safe than sorry. Me? I prefer to live dangerously.
In any case, there have been a few folks who have podcast their novels as a vehicle for publication… same here? Dunno, I hope so.
LL, And sadly, I often feel that I don’t read enough. I think I need to ease up and relax a bit more. I’m sure Sarah would agree.
Oh, and I LOVED The Shack! Amazing book, end to end. What a compelling read. It often had me staring off into space, pondering what I had just read. One of the most thought-provoking works of Fiction I’ve read in years. Did you read it? What did you think?

Funny you should mention The Shack. I was out hiking with a couple of girlfriends this morning and they were discussing that book, which they both had read. I listened in with interest, as I have not yet read it.
Now, I’ll have to. Part of me is looking forward to it, part of me isn’t, if you know what I mean.
I guess I’m off to Amazon now!

Lauren, I know exactly what you mean. I had it on my desk for a couple of months and sort-of felt the same way.
And not to confirm your fears, but reading it has kicked off some internal wranglings that have been quite unsettling…
But they’ve also been quite good for me.
Let me know what you think when you do read it.
